A Clarification about the Trinity: The Bible does not teach that 1+1+1=3, despite the fact that even Christians sometimes incorrectly assert that. Christianity does not teach that 3 make 1. The Trinity is not 3 essences that combine into a unity of One. The Bible teaches, and Christians agree with Jews and Muslims, that God is One, and only One. Where the misconception comes from is that God, in order to make Himself and His will known to men, comes to men as 2 others, in objective forms and in a subjective form, making 3. These forms have a material and a spiritual reality, respectively, but in all three cases, each is always the One and the Same God—no other!
