A Critical Tongue Dries up Marriage. It is easy to notice & criticize the wrong in your spouse. You dont have to look far to see all the faults & mistakes in a person that you live with 24/7. Dont take pleasure in criticizing & parading your spouses faults. Love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8. Instead make an effort to notice & appreciate your spouses strengths & positive attributes. The truth is your spouse already knows their weaknesses & they desire to change. He/she doesnt need a daily reminder. The lack of daily words of encouragement, affirmation & appreciation could the only thing holding your spouse & marriage hostage. It is in your power to create a change-conducive environment in your marriage. The key to a better marriage is on your lips & in your vocabulary. Discard criticism, personal attacks, nagging & words that bring your spouse down. Regardless of the current state of your marriage; words of encouragement, affirmation & appreciation have the power to create the marriage youve always dreamed of.
