A Cup of tea as a threshold Do you believe a cup of tea could be a threshold for a big change? Certainly, it happened in the big American Revolution that lasted for a decade and yield a big change, i.e. declaration of independence. One might be surprise how it could be possible but because of a cup of tea, the American Revolution started through Boston to all thirteen colonies and finally separated from the British colonization. British and Spanish were two huge colonizer that they colonized Northern America and Louisiana (later it became Canada) respectively. Northern America was colonized in 13 different colony named as thirteen colony. Later, Spanish colonized “Louisiana” and surrounding territory were captured by British crown, which later, let Spanish to move their naval ships against the British, in support of American during the American Revolution. British crown were levying taxes as much as they could as tax was the only one way out to feed the British soldiers that they were scattered all around the thirteen colony. On top of that “Stamp Act”, which is no other than censorship on publications and any kind of postal activities (stamp act was also known as a direct tax) made American life without the privacy. Levying tax increased so widely and everything they buy or sell, they ought to pay taxes to the British crown. As the British Empire started tax on even with a cup of tea, Bostonian Nationalist started raising voices against the British crown, rallying up at the Liberty tree. The American Nationalist what they believed was the “right voice” that it should be adhere by British crown but instead British crown mobilized 2 regiments around from the thirteen colony heading toward Boston to suppress the American nationalist’s move. Later American Nationalist all over the thirteen colony started armed movement against the Royal which was led by George Washington who later became the first American President. The revolution later was supported by Spanish by pushing their Naval force forward during the American Revolution and also supported by British John Wilkes. Finally in 1776, British lost Boston and again they captured New York City. The combined American-French force captured Yorktown as well. In July 1776, America was declared as a new independence nation by Congress and also Thomas Jefferson wrote to congress ‘United States Declaration of Independence’. The peace treaty was confirmed in 1783 which separated British Empire and demarcation of boundary up to Mississippi River.
