A DAY IN THE LIFE OF ANIMAL ADVOCATES SOCIETY OF BC: 5:00 a.m...Email turned on… At AAS it’s another day in no-kill animal rescue... DEAR AAS, IM TURNING TO YOU BECAUSE ALL ELSE HAS FAILED I am writing in regards to a dog. The owner keeps that dog outside day in and day out. He has a crappy dog house which is hooked onto his collar by a chain, even in the winter months of last year which is the worst but it was all the time. I feel so bad for this dog....he is about 12 years old...I take him off his chain and play with him in the grass...I buy him treats and give him give him fresh water since they seldom do that... He is a good dog. When it is pouring rain I take him into the garage and sometimes into my suite. He stinks so bad it’s gross. He is a great dog considering his circumstances. Anyways... as I’m taking care of him this lady from across the street said she had always taken care of him for at least 5 years. She said the landlords have left him outside since she can remember. She used to report him to the SPCA but she gave up. Right now he is chained up, barking, with no food or water, hoping I will come out for him which I will, but the landlord is starting to get mad at me. I think he thinks that I don’t approve of the way he looks after his dog….which I don’t. If you could please do something about this....or just look into it. Sometime after receiving this report, the dog was rescued.
