A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE ROLE OF ISLAM AS A RELIGION IN HISTORY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN POTENTIAL BASED ON MORALITY Dear Jimmy, No. Max Weber a German Sociology Professor wrote that Germany and Europe made material progress FIRST in Europe due to Protestant Morality. Similarly, Japanese claim they progressed due to their Yamato-damashi i.e. Japanese spirit and Morality. Chinese individuals and country pays credit to its Confucian Morality. Muslims can become good human beings and best in their trades, professions and technology like Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan ( A serious and pious Islamist) if they adopt Islamic Morality of our Prophet (PBUH) and Sahaba. Arab Bedouins rised from the deserts of Arabia and defeated centuries-old Persian and Roman expires after they adopted Islamic Morality through the power of religion. Muslim empires in the Middle East, in Asia, in Africa and in India ruled over centuries as the only Super Power of the world during about 13 centuries since 6th to 19th century. It was because that Muslim masses had developed Islamic spirit and Moral attributes. We are neither Protestants, nor Yamato-damashi holders,, nor Confucius believers. Our source of strength lies in our religion to develop high Morality and best moral attributes. All our secular leaders become corrupt, as they do not have fear of God that can be inculcated in us only through our Quran, Salat, Fasting and other Religious rituals only. Modern Turkey had become more corrupt than our Pakistan after Ataturk threw away Religion at the end of 19th century. Books were written about it as It has become sick man of Europe. But it is progressing for the last 15 years. It is only after an Islamist leadership won elections there. Allama Iqbal says that if Religion is separated from Politics, then our leaders and society will become like Changez Khan: JUDA HO DEEN SIASAT SE TO REH JATI HAI CHANGEZI. Listen following brief speech of mine where at the end I have briefly touched the subject of economic development of Europe, Japan and China etc.
