A Delaware County man, Marquis Javon Thompson will spend the rest of his life in prison for a 2011 hit-and-run car crash that killed two Collingdale teenagers. Thompson of Chester was sentenced today for the incident that occurred on December 9th, 2011. Two chivalrous teenage boys, Michael J. Taylor and Mark McNeill, were on their way back home after walking their female friends to their houses, crossed Chester Pike on the evening of December 9th. As the two 15 year olds crossed, Thompson who was under the influence, driving without a license, and under probation for drug offenses, ran a red light striking and killing Taylor on impact. McNeill died the next day. Thompson was found guilty of third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle, fleeing the scene, driving under the influence and other related charges. Prosecutor Geoff Paine in reaction to the sentencing stated, "Life means life, and he is not getting out."
