A Dream Of Magical Intent Before him the narrow, shattered ridge of the towering peak It’s summit so close, yet inexplicably so far away Too many hazards, so many fears He’s seemingly lost his way And the dream scenario is too much to take. Slipping on the icy riddled rocks he holds his breathe, The clammy mists surround him, his vision obscured, He could very well be the last mortal alive in this realm, Silence surrounds him, silence entombs him ... He feels very much alone. Then the mists clear and he spies rays of sunlight, Ahead of him the summit cairn but a few steps away, In that instance, he regains hope and smiles to himself, His mortal life, his reason for physical existence returns In those moments he has dream control. He can be invincible, he can achieve the seemingly impossible, He will overcome the shortfalls that rendered him powerless to change, His eyes now set firmly on the sun in the sky, Clambering with confidence now, he reaches the summit cairn And gazes across at the landscape which is the remainder of his life. His future, however obscured by morning mists, is still there, The divine artist has painted him a wondrous tapestry, One which stretches out before him in all directions, His fears, his weaknesses momentarily forgotten As he feels the peace and the serenity in the mountain air ... He is alive, he survived, he has a future to live, He has the power to manifest, to make reality his dreams, He is now the optimist as positive energy flows through his veins He has the power to decide his fate, He has the inherent magic to make it all take place ... As sure as the rocks on which he stands, it will be manifested Powerfully he will achieve all that his consciousness devises, Then, on a whim, he becomes the mighty eagle, lift his wings and soars into the sky With a triumphant cry he lazily reaches into a thermal and circles the towering peak, His dream of magical intent is now complete, deep within the silence of a mortal night.
