A FORGIVING ATTITUDE But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9) Dearly beloved, Lord Jesus says in Luke 6:37,38, "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Dearly beloved, The Bible says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). God has brought us out of darkness and surrounded us with His divine light. He has chosen us to proclaim His praises. The forgiveness of Lord Jesus should go to the world only through us. This is why the Lord gives us the Holy Spirit and His power. When we receive the Holy Spirit, the nature to forgive those who offend us and a heart to pray for their transformation will come into us. The Spirit of the Lord Himself will give this to us. When we pray with an attitude of forgiveness for the transformation of those around us, the Lord will lift us up and bless us abundantly. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, You are merciful and forgiving. By your immense mercy, you granted forgiveness and salvation to me. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit and power. Give me the grace to forgive the shortcomings of others. Lift me up and bless me abundantly. In Your matchless name I pray. Amen.
