A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire area until later Friday evening as more heavy rain is possible. Although models are indicating we should not see nearly the intensity of rainfall we experienced yesterday. However in areas where significant rainfall totals and saturation have occurred, any additional rain, however minimal, could quickly lead to flooding. As the upper low remains nearly stationary today, rain chances will remain high. But with a slight shift in position from yesterday, some of the heavier showers look to be confined to the east of the area with drier weather already happening just to our west. Although much weaker, the upper low will still be over the area Friday, likely keeping rain coverage around 50 to 60%. Rain chances will diminish by the weekend and slim to none for next week.
