****A GENTLE SOFT SOUL**** A volunteer writes: There is something about Max that speaks of an inner gentleness, a softness, a soul that is both intelligent and loving. Hes a gorgeous boy in a latte color coat, his eyes amber gems in his thoughtful face. Hes likely housetrained, and while he pulls slightly on the leash is responsive to correction and wants to please his person. His feet show signs of being crated for far too many hours as a young dog, and some exercise and stimulation will hopefully change that. He doesnt mind being tethered for pictures, makes soft eye contact with those incredible eyes, sits for treats and takes them gently. Happy to meet other dogs in the street, his how do you do manners could use a little refinement, especially when it comes to the smaller dogs, but hes happy to meet them all. He does well in group play sometimes over correcting a rowdy dog, but always a welcome playmate. Off leash hes playful, giving chase to a ball but not retrieving, bouncing back with a smile and a tail wag - but no ball! His new pet parents can teach him about retrieve . He has a nice energy about him, friendly, sweet, and engaging. His behavior evaluation should earn him a place in just about any home, and hes hoping his new family is just around the corner.
