A GOOD KINDA BAD: This tune from my Signature Records wax-pressing days is one of several of my old songs that inspired Dan Rief, a 17-year-old New Jersey high school senior and Facebook fan who loves the music of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. to write a personal message to me recently. Im Gonna Be a Bad Girl is quite funny, Dan said. You sing it in a teasing, yet wholesome-sounding way. Singers of today could learn some valuable things from you. You have lots of talent and class, and youre really pretty, too. Wow... how very flattering! Thank you so much, Dan -- it is quite wonderful for me, at age 92, to know that vintage music of this type can still attract enthusiasts from all age groups.
