A Hampshire angler , Mr P , Wadham , invented wander tackle for flounder fishing. It is one of the best methods , since it accounts for large numbers of fich and enalbes them to exercise their fighting qualities to the full. It is used with a light rod. The hooks are bated with ragworm, lugworm or crab. ( I use fly on it ).The tackle is cast out from an a an anchored boat, or from a flat shore, across a muddy creek or estuary, on an incoming tide. It is essential that the water be comparatively shallow and should be clear of obstructions. The weights and hooks sink to the bottom and the line is slowly reeled in . The weights stir up the mud and attract the attention of feeding flounders When a touche is felt, recovery should be halted, and a strike made after of four or fife seconds.
