A Handy Formula for the Thinking Christian - 1 I dont know how aggressive you are with your personal evangelism. As a Christian student, you should. And if you are, it is most likely that you have encountered skeptical unbelievers or mockers who only want to argue and disrupt your witnessing by raising questions or arguments that make no sense, but which are consistent with their ungodly worldviews. One way to demonstrate the foolishness of a non-biblical worldview and the ease with which it can be refuted is the use of a simple formula. Memorized responses and convenient formulas may provide a sense of security, but this is deceptive, because if they depend on these things, they in fact become more prone to failure in debate. Although formulas should never be necessary, there are at least two acceptable uses for them. First, formulas can help the beginner and the less experienced Christian. Second, the deliberate use of a formula in debate can serve to show that the unbeliever cannot withstand any rational analysis, and that he cannot answer the most basic questions, things that even a toddler knows to ask. This also makes it easy for observers to perceive the inferiority of the unbelievers position. SWR (So? Why? Really?) This is the entire formula. Although there are only three words in it, using nothing but these three words, any Christian of any aptitude can crush any student, any professor, and any variety or combination of non-Christians. Lets take each of the SWR as a separate post.
