A LOT happened in Don Matteo tonight. Im not sure I caught it all, but one thing is confirmed: Im going to spend the Summer in Umbria. One setting in the programme (in and around Spoleto in this series) looked like the flat, agricultural plain north of the city. That was where I spent my first holiday in the region, living in a little apartment built into the castle walls of Castel San Giovanni. If the weather is really hot, there is something to be said for a location higher than the flat valley bottom.
