A Love Initiative - Day 63 “When You Love Somebody” - Love is - TopicsExpress

A Love Initiative - Day 63 “When You Love Somebody” - Love is just a word... On Day 62 we highlighted similarities in a sampling of languages from around the world. If you take a moment to review the two phrases (“A Love Initiative” and “We Need Love”) and the translations you may notice that only in English do we actually use the word “love.” Amor, amore, amour, agapis, upendo, liebe, liefde, lyubov, etc. are all just words. To quote a line from the movie Matrix Revolutions, “Love is just a word.” Of course it is! Otherwise, how could it be possible for so many other words (karlek, ai, salang) to express the same sentiment, feeling or emotion? If the “thing” was inextricably attached to the word, than “love” would have to be the only expression of that thing of any value. The whole world would have to say “LOVE” in order for it to have value. “Love” is a word like “centimeter” or “centigrade;” the words are not the things they simply represent spacial value or energy in terms which anyone in the world would understand... but they are simply expressions just like E=mC2 is an expression of value. (I think! LOL!) I am not a “Miles.” In fact; I don’t know what a “Miles” is. I’m simply recognized by that representation of a person. He does this, he looks like that, he lives here or there. Oops wrong “Miles.” Oh, you mean “Miles Jaye” or “Miles Davis.” Both! Oh, that guy! He does this, he looks like that, he lives here or there. You are not what’s printed on your D.L.! The fact is; they are all just words. Nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, participles are just language - they’re not the thing. The word heat does not generate energy anymore than the word cold causes the absence of heat. Theoretically that is... I betcha if I say heat often enough, long enough and think warm thoughts like Fiji and hot tubs, um gone warm up. LOL! Bottom line: Without the expression and demonstration of love, there is no love - period. Unlike repeating the word “heat;” repeating the word “lOvE” as many times a day, ending phone calls, leaving for work, returning home, birthdays cards, Valentine’s Day cards and whatever other reasons you’ve been parroting the word “love” for years; absent the emotional sincerity and the psychological reality, the “thing” does not exist. Say the word all you like, in whatever language you like but until you breathe life and action into the “love” there will be nOnE - PERIOD. Peace, Love and Blessings... None of which mean a cotton-pickin’ thing without the manifestation of... “tHe tHiNg!” AmEn! G’nite! M
