A MESSAGE FROM DAVID HEMPEL Dear Friends, Having celebrated my 66th birthday this year, I knew it was time for me to find the right people to take over Eble Music in preparation for my retirement. I am happy to tell you that I have found a buyer who shares the Eble philosophy of excellent customer service, depth of musical knowledge, and love of music and musicians. Beginning on May 20th, the new owners will be Groth Music Company They will run Eble Music Company with the same dedication and expertise that you have come to expect. I believe they are a perfect fit to take on the responsibility of serving our customers at the highest level. Over the Memorial Day weekend, we will move our complete sheet music inventory from our Iowa City location to the site of Groth Music in Bloomington, Minnesota. There will be no interruption in service to our customers. Our wonderful website will remain in operation, and we will continue to fill phone orders throughout this change in locations. I will also stay on as a personal consultant for a few months to make the transition as smooth as possible. Thank you, dear friends, for all the wonderful connections weve had over the years. My staff and I have been honored to serve you. I feel privileged to have taken the business over from Charlie Eble in 1989, and I am now proud to entrust it to equally capable hands.
