### A MUST READ FOR ALL ANIMAL OWNERS ### When we started this campaign for Harveys Law via a Government petition we wanted the Highways Agency to follow their own procedures as stipulated in their Network Management Manual. Unfortunately failed miserably!. This resulted in 13 weeks of sheer hell for Harveys owners who were still looking for their boy when he had in fact died the same night he went missing. Our campaign has now taken a dramatic turn. We have written confirmation from the Rt Hon John Hayes (Minister responsible for the HA) that: Recent contracts no longer mandate agency contractors to scan or record pet identification details, or to contact the owners and the pet identification organisations Therefore if your beloved pet sadly becomes a victim of the UK highways you will probably never know, they will not do anything! Compulsory micro chipping comes into effect in 2016 on the orders of the UK Govt. yet they are removing the process to scan all deceased pets. Why? We have hit just over 48000 signatures, we HAVE to hit 100000 by March 2015. Please, please sign our e petition, check your spam box for the verification e mail and click the link.
