Knight reportedly lived off benefits he acquired illegally, considering he isn’t a real quadriplegic, while he lied to doctors about a freak garage door accident that “left him paralyzed” and with seizures that sent him into periodical comas. His wife helped him keep up the act, wheeling him in and out of the hospital and acting as his primary caretaker. Knight’s lies were uncovered when camera footage caught him at a supermarket walking around and grocery shopping, after he raised red flags at the hospital due to very un-comatose movements.
