A Maple Plain man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for pulling off a multi-million dollar mortgage fraud conspiracy. Alpha Rashidi Mshihiri was convicted for a two-year scheme during which he defrauded lenders of millions of dollars through bank, mail and wire fraud. The BCA-led Minnesota Financial Crimes Task Force worked on the case with the IRS-Criminal Investigation, the US Secret Service, the US Attorney’s Office and the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development-Office of Inspector General.
