A Message from the Leader of Worcester City Council: Having - TopicsExpress

A Message from the Leader of Worcester City Council: Having held all our seats in the city council election we are in a negotiating position to continue to run the Council. We have started implementing Labour policies, we have emphasised the need for enhancing skills and education, for employment opportunities and to increase affordable housing. We have set some ambitious targets for moving on Worcester to be a great City, a City of Culture, and a City of prosperity. And we are working all the time to make sure no community is left behind. So! come along for 7pm at the Guildhall on Tuesday evening and see if we can continue with that mission. In order to retain control of the Council we need support from the Lib Dem and Green Councillors. We want to look forward to a Labour Mayor and for Paul Denham to invite you to his Parlour for a drink and nibbles afterwards. We want to make sure that having balanced the books, set a responsible budget, and put in place a financial transformation plan to try and counter the imosed from Westminster, that we can fight the privatisation promised by local Tories. Annual Council is a spectacle of colour and tradition as well as a very serious pointer for the coming year. You have all been part of getting us here - come and see the culmination of those efforts! Adrian.
