A & N SCB Inaugurates Modernised Branch at Wimberlygunj Port Blair, Sept 13: Wimberlygunj, 13th September, 2013: The newly built modernised branch of A & N State Coop. Bank with ATM was inaugurated on 13th September, 2013 at Wimberlygunj by Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Vice Chairman, ANSCB in presence of Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the Bank, Shri. R K Thanvi, Dy. GM, NABARD, Port Blair Shri. Subramaniam, Director, ANSCB, Senior Officials of A & N Administration, PRI members, Bank officials, Valued Customers, Media persons and a large gathering of the local area. In the beginning, Shri. Ravinder Rao, Managing Director welcomed the Chief Guest and all others present on the occasion and appraised the position of the branch. He briefed the gathering about the various schemes of the bank and the future programmes like Networking of ATMs with other banks, RTGS, NEFT, etc. He also urged the people of Wimberlygunj area to come forward and join hands with ANSCB. He also stressed that an FLC (Financial Literacy Centre)-dedicated to awareness of banking services will soon be opened at Wimberlygunj for the general public. Shri. R K Thanvi, Dy. GM, NABARD, Port Blair also spoke on the occasion and presented a gist of the facilities which will be offered by A & N SCB in days to come. He also urged the local people especially womens to avail maximum benefit from the services of the Bank. Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma in his keynote address greets the gathering and presented a dynamic task on the functioning of the Bank. He further urged the local public to come and bank with ANSCB. Taking a step further, he also stressed the need of creating good business in the area by availing financial support from the Bank. Shri. P A Nazir, Branch Manager conveyed his regards to general public and with heartfelt thanks admired the support of the people of the area in making the function a grand success on all fronts.
