A New Record... If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. - Psa 130:3-4 God is not a man and man is not God; no mater how holy man claim to be, if the LORD open his record of sins he will not stand; As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:10, 23). • Standing before God doesnt depend on mans effort and strength but on Gods mercy; For it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. (Romans 9:16 NKJV) > And prophet Jeremiah put it in this form: Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV) • We can count on the mercies and faithfulness of God any-day anytime and anywhere, for with Him there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve Him. > As Zachariah the priest said, That we should be saved from our enemies And from the hand of all who hate us...To grant us that we, Being delivered from the hand of our enemies, Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life...To give knowledge of salvation to His people By the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.” (Luke 1:71, 74-75, 77-79 NKJV) God sent Jesus the Dayspring to give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. > One day a woman was caught, and her record was so bad that the law must have its course. She was brought to Jesus and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:11-12 NKJV) • Her record of sin was destroyed and she had a new record with a sign on it that says, GO AND SIN NO MORE. No wonder one day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29 NKJV) > God did not come in the person of Jesus to cover our sins, but to remove them. He takes away the sin of the world, which we inherited from Adam; whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (Romans 3:25-26 NKJV) • Its in Jesus we have received justification of out past, present and future sins; Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God...For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. (Romans 5:1-2, 6-11 NKJV) Jesus is the sin those saved by grace through faith in Him commits; For He[God] made Him[self] who[Jesus] knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians 5:21 NKJV) > And since we through faith in Christ Jesus has become the righteousness of God, that means There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2 NKJV) In Christ, we have a new record which is not in this world but in heaven; Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:20 NKJV) > Our rejoicing is that our new record is beyond the reach of satan, demons and men. We are new creatures with new record that cannot be corrupt by the world; Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV) + So we can boldly say like Job, now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high. (Job 16:19 KJV) + Jesus is my witness in heaven and my new sinless record is kept there in heaven by the power of God! Hallelujah! • Satan and men wants us to walk after the flesh, reminding us how dirty and unworthy we are, But with our God there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve Him without fear of wrath or condemnation. > As John the believed said, My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. (I John 2:1-2 NKJV) • The Seed of the Righteousness of is in everyone that is in Christ Jesus, which made us without sin before God; but that doesnt make us infallible as every other human in the flesh. Spiritually we are clean, washed, justified, sanctified and redeemed but we still sin sometimes as human; And for that we need to draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22 NKJV) > And Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV) • In Christ Jesus alone we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Col 1:14); For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus (1Tim 2:5); Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). > Salvation of your soul and the forgiveness of your sins is only in the name of Jesus; nothing but faith in His name can make you whole again - Acts 3:16. • If you havent been saved by grace through faith, which is being born again; Will you allow Jesus to be your witness before God and give you a new cannot-sin record? He will save your soul, forgive your sins and give you a new record the devil and the world cannot corrupt. > And He says, Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV) Open your heart to Jesus, to receive forgiveness of sins and new record of life today! (Jn 10:10. Heb 8:12)
