A New Year I trust all had a wonderful holiday. Out of the ashes flew the phoenix and after enough medical issues that would kill most people, I am ready to start the next great chapter in my life, in a wheelchair and paralyzed for life. In the outdoor industry the hunting and fishing apparel and gear business for the last ten years has been centered around young bucks who look good, to sell to a more hip audience. The problem is hip and being young as well as being a worldwide expert and teacher, don’t go together. These demographic well fit youngsters just don’t have the experience. A new trend is emerging for a company spokesperson position to an older, wiser, and more experienced with proven track records. I am now being interviewed as worldwide spokesman for an outdoor sports apparel company that is going to take the industry by storm. The management is young, computer savy, and with the program. The question is, can they see through my wheelchair? Will my lifetime in blue water and in the field with my long bow prevail? Interesting stuff… I will keep you apprised and of course I’m hoping for the best. Tred
