A New Years (Minor) Re-Solution Let the Aces remind me to begin more than I should; To only plant in nurturing ground, To only decide what is true, To only share what I love, And to only begin what I value. And the Twos remind me what goes down will come up; For Everything is connected, Everything has consequences, Everything is bound in love, And everything is how we make it. In the Threes I will recall that I can build slowly; I will build to benefit all, I will build to celebrate with all, I will build even if it hurts, I will build the world as best I can. And in the Fours I will learn to hold it together; To save my resources for the longer-term, To rest myself when I need it, To not over-burden myself with others needs, And to attract those who recognise me. I shall fight with the Fives like I mean serious damage; By continuing even if I feel separate, By learning from every argument, By owning every loss, And by recognising I am responsible. And take opportunity to find harmony with the Sixes whenever possible; I shall aim to be fair in all dealings, I shall guide as I can when I am asked, I shall take all my past into creating my future, And be an example to myself above all. Those Sevens shall teach me patience this year; To not expect everything immediately other than illumination, To live without expecting support, To know what is imagined and what is real, And to understand I will always have to stand for myself. As the Eights teach me to do it for the sake of it; To work with passion or not work at all, To work without constraining myself to what is possible, To work knowing I must leave out as much as I put in, And to work in the light that everything changes. If the Nines dont trick me into giving up too early; By getting too attached to comfort, By loosing sight of the end, By being too self-satisfied, Or by thinking I have won. The Tens will greet me with the rewards of all Aces; All the reality of the universe, All the answers to my questions, All the love that is everything, And all the will I need.
