A Note from the Canon Rector and His Family Dear Parishioners, - TopicsExpress

A Note from the Canon Rector and His Family Dear Parishioners, Friends, Brothers and Sisters, I am writing to you from my parents home in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. We are all distressed by my youngest brothers sudden death- he was forty-two years old. We have received flowers, cards, greetings and condolences from many, many of you. My Mum and Dad wish me to express, most emphatically, our gratitude for such warmth, support and kindness. The funeral liturgy will be taking place at 10.30am on Friday 26th September at Llwydcoed Crematorium near Aberdare. The Clergy of our home-parish of Merthyr Tydfil have been wonderfully supportive and will conduct the liturgy- Father Mark Prevett, Father Tom Bates and Father David Thomas Morris. There will be a Requiem Mass next Wednesday evening at the daughter Church of St Tydfils Well, The Quar. I am personally very grateful to all our assisting clergy at St Thomas the Apostle, Hollywood, for all their hard work and dedication, during this time of compassionate leave. The Wardens, Officers, Vestry, Administrative Staff, Diocesan Staff, Bishops and Parishioners have all been so kind, generous and supportive- thank you. I will return to Los Angeles on 8th September and will, with your indulgence, take a planned vacation with Father Colin Amos for ten days. Please remember my brother, Jason Neil Davies, RIP, in your prayers- as I remember all of you in my daily intercessions. With our love and prayers, Mr and Mrs John and Janis Davies, Richard Davies, Jan ONeill, Canon Ian Elliott Davies
