You will travel in the footsteps of Jesus and visit Nazareth, Tiberias, the Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, the Jordan Valley, Bethlehem, the Old City of Jerusalem and more. Arrival transfer to hotel for overnight. Dinner included. Tuesday 06 May After breakfast, transfer to airport to fly to Tel Aviv on Korean Airlines KE957, arriving at 8.20pm. Wednesday 07 May Drive to Caesarea and visit the Roman Theatre and Hippodrome. See the film of the City and visit the Aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, the site of Armageddon and see the archaeological excavations and the well-preserved water supply system and on to Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunciation, St Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. 2 nights at Kibbutz Ein Gev or similar Thursday 08 May Sail on the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum and on arrival, we see the ancient boat discovered recently. Visit ancient Capernaum where Jesus performed many miracles and to the Churches of St Peter. Continue up to the Mount of Beatitudes, to Banias Springs and waterfall, Caesarea Philippi and tour the Golan Heights. Friday 09 May Visit Yardenit, the baptismal site on the River Jordan. Continue to Beit Shean to see the Roman Theatre and en route to Jerusalem view the City of Jericho from the Jordan Valley. Meet Rev. Mark Beale’s group at the Garden Tomb for a Shared Eucharist. 4 nights Jerusalem. Saturday 10 May Visit the scale model of Jerusalem. Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Old City. Walk to the Church of Pater Noster for the dedication of the Lord’s Prayer in Niuean and a Eucharist. Walk down the Mount of Olives and see the Church of Dominus Flevit, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Up to Mount Zion to see the Upper Room of the Last Supper, the Church of the Dormition and King David’s Tomb. Sunday 11 May Today we drive to Bethlehem to the Church of the Nativity to see the Manger and to Shepherd’s Fields.We have an afternoon visit to Ein Kerem and the Church of John the Baptist, Church of the Visitation and Mary’s Spring. Monday 12 May In the Old City we visit the Church of St Anne and the Pool of Bethesda. We walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for a guided tour and a Eucharist. Walk to the Western Wall. Free time in the Old City. Tuesday 13 May Full day tour to Massada where we ascend by cable car to explore the last stronghold of the Jews. Time for a swim in the Dead Sea and then to Tel Aviv to check-in for our flight home on Korean Air KE958 departing at 10.10pm Thursday 15 May Arrive Auckland.
