A POEM FOR MY MOTHER Would i have had a story to tell without you? Would i have existed without you? Would i have been alive if you had not cared? Would it have been well with me if you had not been there for me? You gave me life and made me stay alive You are my life You are my strength You gave me hope And i eat my fill from the abundance of your natural gift Your wisdom is something to me You did not deny me when i need you You filled my life with your kindness I found my peace in you How then can i say thank you? How can i appreciate you? How can i show my love for you? How can i make the world know about you? You laid me to feed from your chest You gave me the first and most important care of life You kept your eyes open all night to give me comfort You lost your peace to give me one You believe in me and gave me your best for my upbringing Who is like unto you? Who can be compare with you in caring for me? Who then can take your place in my life? Who can do for me that which you have done? Who can love me more than you do? No one can cook sweeter than you You are really loved You are a rear gem And you will always be in my heart To you alone do i speak - ""MY MOTHER""
