****A PRECIOUS GEM LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME*** A volunteer writes: Luna is such a precious gem and her beautiful face is an exact reflection of her soul; pure, sweet and loving. She certainly won my Model of the Day award, blowing away the competition with such perfect posing and great behavior that I almost forgot how timid shed been when we first met. Initially she avoided the leash and watched me with frightened yet needy eyes, clearly wanting to be friends but not sure if I could be trusted. Fast forward 10 minutes and were happily trotting side by side down the street as Luna responds to my every command and greets other dogs we pass with perky ears and a polite wag of her tail. She sits immediately for treats and despite her hunger (the poor girl is painfully thin) takes them softly from my hand...though that doesnt stop her rifling my jacket pocket for more when I crouch down for our selfie! Luna loves being petted and caressed and she gives the best little face kisses in return, theres simply no better therapy than a date with an affectionate dog and Luna delivers the smiles every time. Lively yet well-behaved, shy yet open-hearted, this wonderful girl is the best of all worlds. Welcome her home today and get ready to see la Luna shine bright as the sun! Another volunteer writes: we love dressing her up in coats and taking pictures. When I first met Luna she was a shy little girl, not sure of me, or of anything around her. She has opened up to be an amazingly fun and affectionate little girl with whom we all love to spend time. Playful, silly, loving and fun she dashes around the pen playing with a toy and skidding in the fresh snow. Paws in my lap she loves to be petted, wagging her tail shyly.
