A Possibility... probability is more like it once you read what is now being released about how the care of Patient ground zero was conducted. All those images of workers in full bio-hazard suits with air hoses providing them protection, as the CDC has wanted us to imagine, have to be replaced with the truth. Flimsy gloves with no wrist tapes, paper gowns taped shut, exposed necks and facial areas, no surgical booties. The patient Duncan was left in an open area of the ER for four hours, possibly exposing all who came through there. In the room where he was cared for until his death, the soiled linens, towels, everything used to clean up the highly contagious materials from a hemorrhagic patient was piled up to the ceiling in a corner because they had no means to properly dispose of such toxic waste. The nurses union is up in arms, and now the CDC is saying 125 are under watch for symptoms. Its not like situations like this havent been imagined before, they have even been explored in popular media like the movies Outbreak and Contagion. Well, its not just a movie anymore... and Dallas, you have a problem. We pray for these healthcare workers, the ambulance attendants and ER personnel who have literally put their lives on the line to care for Mr. Duncan, as well as their families and friends... anyone who has had contact with them. We demand that the CDC and the federal and state governments stop treating the American people like children and start giving US the truth. We can take that. But the lies, and the half truths, those must stop! Continuing on in the current way just might get a lot of us killed.
