A Prayer A Day - Love the Lord, Hate Evil, Flee From Sin, The Lord Will Keep You! 10/17/2013 Todays Scripture(s) - Psalm 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. If you say that you love the Lord, HATE Evil. The dictionary defines Evil in the form of an adjective as: morally wrong or bad; immoral; wicked; harmful; injurious and as a noun as: the force in nature that governs and gives rise to wickedness and sin. Words that define Evil: sinful, iniquitous, depraved, vicious, corrupt, base, vile, pernicious, destructive. And the word that is the opposite of all these is: Righteous. We are to hate evil dear ones. Not dislike it a little bit, but HATE it. Someone will read this and say, well I do hate evil. What I say to that is: please, please, please go to the dictionary and look up every single would that it uses to describe evil and as you read the definitions, check your heart, check your lifestyle and be sincere as you do. I will be the first to say I am by no means perfect. I have many imperfections. The Lord shows me things about me that I at times have wept over with repentance, things that I thought I had rooted out of my heart that still had remnants within and I thank you Father for showing them to me so that I can keep them on the altar before you and seek you to do surgery on this imperfect heart, take out all things that offend you Lord, I desire to walk right and live holy before you. We are all imperfect. There is not a perfect person on this earth. We are all Masterpieces in the making, but we must allow the Lord to be the Artist that paints our Masterpiece. The scripture today says that the Lord preserves the soul of His saints. Preserve - to keep alive or in existence; make lasting; to keep safe from harm or injury; to retain. The Father knows who belongs to Him, 2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Thats right dear ones, we must - depart (leave, retreat, withdraw; go away from) wicked acts; sin. - if we are naming the name of Christ, if we say that we are His, then we will strive to act like it, we will strive to live lives that bring Him glory. The Lord takes care of His own and trust and believe that He does and He will deliver His saints out of the hand of the unrighteous. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper... Isaiah 54:17a. Love the Lord. Hate evil. Flee from sin. Keep your eyes on Christ. He will keep you. Todays Prayer. Read It Aloud. Make It Your Own: Father I thank you for this day and all your many blessings thank you Father for being so good to me. I thank you for your love and your kindness, I thank you Father for your mercy and your grace. New mercies I see today! Thank you Father, thank you. I thank you for waking me up this morning. I thank you for keeping watch over me as I slept on last night. I thank you Father for providing all that I need. You are my provider. You Lord take good care of me. Thank you Lord I thank you. I thank you for a place to lay my head at night I thank you for a roof to reside under. I thank you Father God for being so good and so great and so wonderful to me. I do love you Lord and I thank you for preserving my life, you preserve me and you deliver me out of the hand of the enemy of my soul. I thank you Father for keeping me safe, you Lord are my protection and my shield, you Lord fight for me, you fight my battles and I will stand sill and trust and depend and lean on you Father God. I do name your name Lord Jesus, I am and do belong to you and I will strive to live life right and holy before you Father, I will strive to do those things that please you Lord. Keep the door of my lips and bridle my tongue, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me Father, open my ears to hear your voice clearly Father I will renew my mind with your word Lord enlighten my eyes to see. Bless you Father for your great goodness to me and my family. Bless you Father for your great goodness to every eye that see and reads this today. Bless you Father for your great goodness to all of your children all around the world. Bless you Father for your great goodness to all those that speak and declare your word unashamedly with boldness. Bless you Father God for your wonderful Holy Spirit that dwells and abides with us. Bless you Father God for your love, your kindness and your mercy on us that endures forever. Bless you Father God bless your great and wonderful and holy name. Bless you Father God, you are worthy to be glorified, lifted up and exalted high above all things. You are wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, holy, righteous and pure. Your word says that there is no other name under heaven by which a man or woman can be saved and that name is Jesus. Today I repent of every sin that I have ever committed, I repent of every sin that I have done and I ask you Jesus to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. I believe that you Lord Jesus shed your precious blood and died for my sins, I am willing to turn from sin and live a life that is holy and pleasing in your sight. I now invite you Christ Jesus to come into my heart and live in me and be my personal Savior. I ask that you would fill me with your precious Holy Spirit, lead and guide me in this life Lord Jesus.
