A RUSHING MIGHTY WIND! Two of my cousins recently gave me a book, called “A Rushing Mighty Wind” by Angus Buchan. It recounts the story on September 30 of 2012, of an awesome miracle that took place in the desert of En Gedi in Israel. He was invited to speak at the celebration of the yearly Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem. The week long ministry usually takes off with a gathering of saints in the Judean desert next to the Dead Sea. The lowest spot on the earth. This was the setting of the miracle. To give you a better understanding of what happened that night I want to mail you two films: one what took place that night, and secondly a short film that I made with a young friend Braam in that area. It will give you a good understanding of how dry the Judean desert really is and and what En Gedi looks like. Our little film was taken in 2004, not long after Braams’s baptism in the waters of the Gichon Spring in Jerusalem. The next thing I want to say is that there are unprecedented heavenly signs displayed in the heavens of 20014-2015, that is coming for certain! But about important topic this later! Dr Juergen Bueler of the International Christian Embassy writes: The night was exceptionally hot at 38 degrees C . During the worship sweat and dust were everywhere….Angus mounted the stage and started to read from the Book of Acts, capter 2: When the day of Pentecost had fully come, thbey were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them! And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4). Already as he read the Word a fresh breeze started blowing. As he closed the Bible the wind had become so strong that eventually our security personnel asked the stage to be evacuated. Only Angus stayed on and preached. Then something else happened: within minutes the wind was mingled with gentle refreshing drops of rain. This was a highly unusual occurrence for the Judean Desert. At the same time backstage, the overheated wires of the transmission truck for TV broadcast caught fire. It was not big but interrupted some live transmissions. Everybody there understood that all this was supernatural. All around people went on their knees. This year’s theme of the Feast was “The Spirit of Grace and Supplication”, taken from Zech 12:10 “And I will pour out on the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and of supplication, and the will look on ME whom they have pierced. And they will mourn over HIM as one grieves over a firstborn. This prophecy speaks of one of the greatest yet to be fulfilled prophecies for the Jewish people: The spiritual revival and restoration of Israel. Many other prophets refer to this such as these in Ezekiel 36 and 37. We chose this theme as we recognised that REVIVAL is the most needed for the troubled region of the Middle Est. Now all these manifestations, wind, fire and rain, are frequently used as symbols of the work of the Holy Spirit in the Bible. I truly believe from my heart that GOD gave us a powerful sign of affirmation to our theme. GOD was telling us that He indeed wants to pour out His Spirit on Jews and Gentiles alike. From the first night we received testimonies of lives changed! Reconciliation and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. It increased our faith for revival!
