A Royal sabbath Jah people!!!....Being spiritual to me is more important and better than being religious. One tends to be more personal and private while the other tends to incorporate public rituals and organized doctrines. Spirituality is chosen while religion is often times forced. True spirituality is something that is found deep within oneself. It is our way of loving, accepting and relating to the world and people around us. It cannot be found in a church or by believing in a certain way. One principal problem with attempts to separate religion from spirituality is the former is saddled with everything negative while the latter is exalted with everything positive. It is important to note the fact that one has a dogmatic and unquestionable assembly of rules that need to be followed without question, the other invites us to reason it all, to question it all and to decide our actions and assume the consequences. Religion gives us promises for the after-life. Spirituality give us the light to find our spirit in our inner self, in this life, in this time. Indeed one is in charge of the to do, the other is in charge of the to BE. Religion should be spiritual and spirituality never can be considered religious. Lets all Remember when the Ever-living I Yah RastafarI the Holy One of Creation H.I.Mself Light of this World QAdam-awi King of Kings HaMoshiyah Haile Selassie I the 1st and HRH Empress Menen I once said: We must stop confusing religion and spirituality. Religion is a set of rules, regulations and rituals created by humans who are supposed to help people grow spiritually. Due to human imperfection religion has become corrupt, political, divisive and a tool for power struggle. Spirituality is not theology or ideology. It is simply a way of life, pure and original as was given by the Most High. Spirituality is a network linking us to the Most High, the universe and with others.
