A SCHOOL THAT CARES.. As we say, the school is our second home. We expect the institution to foster humanitarian love and care like the basic unit of society, a family. I have dreamt of PLMar to be this model, as I stand in line to the long queue before me as I anxiously wait for the Registrars office to sign my yellow clearance form so I can enroll for the next sem. Even before the Finals ended, some students have lined up for these signatures. Its not a matter of being early, on time or being late. It isnt supposed to be a dreadful experience! Do you even care? For years, students old and new, alumni from different colleges can attest the same ordeal that they had been to just to have that precious signature. And when it comes, you seize that moment! Oh, how brief that was! Knowing that theres a couple more offices to visit and may take days to complete. Did the institution choose to be deaf, blind, mute and insensitive to the ongoing corrupted system? Have they thought of alternative options to make the system fast and easier? Does my 2nd family really care? Do you feel for me? A stimulus would initiate a message to the brain for the body to react. In this case, doesnt the long queues every enrollment and clearance season annoy you at all. Or do you feel like a superstar because thousands of students are lining up at your door for your signature. Are you still alive? Did the airconditioner make you so numb that your brain freezes? Do you feel the sentiment of waiting in line for a whole day for almost nothing? Are there any humans left in the administration? Humans that would relate, think and CARE. What is causing the delay? The Education system is indeed challenging but should NEVER be an inconvenience! Kapag gusto may paraan, kapag ayaw maraming dahilan. Treat, as you want to be treated.. May I inquire about a significant contribution of a group of alumni to the University? If there was, my outmost gratitude for them giving back to the community. As we say Love reciprocates. You can Give without Loving but you cannot Love without Giving. Aside from the mental challenges, I cant help but to imagine the physical sacrifices and dilema that theyve undergone to get their diplomas. I pray that PLMar has embedded to them the good attributes of a Marikenyo and has exemplified a school that truely CARES. I am a PLMarian! We dare to ask these questions with the intent to be heard and hopefully someone will take action. We regard PLMar as our Alma Mater and as a family. We ask that the heads of the institution take a stand and lift a finger. We will not accept that these plea fall on deaf ears. If needed that we ask for help from the Office of the Mayor, so be it. Why do we question the norm? Why do we seek change? Because it is for the common good! To those who would say go look for another institution, the Hell with your Crab mentality!
