Just heard one of the Ferguson, MO officials say that while they certainly respect the protesters right to assemble & protest that they hope the protests remain peaceful. Well sir, for decades we have dared to hope that Law Enforcement would cease killing our young men & not being held accountable for their actions. From Amadu Diallo in 1999 who had 41 rounds (w/19 hits) fired at him in front of his New York apartment by 4 NYPD officers. To Sean Bell 2006 who was massacred while sitting in his car mere hours before his wedding. To Oscar Grant 2009 in Oakland who was shot in the back by a BART officer while being restrained by 2 other BART officers even though the reason he was removed from the train remains in question to this day. To Aaron Campbell 2010 in Oregon who was shot while approaching police in reverse with his hands raised. To the young man Michael Brown who was murdered in the very town you call home sir. So excuse me if your wishes dont concern me Mr. Official, but as a young black man in an increasingly hostile environment I have more significant worries.
