A SHORT STORY The glamour of bollywood struck the young hanDsome guy from chandigarh—shuffling through glossy cine magazines goldy kumar thought that in life if he could go to Mumbai and get a chance he could be a star—so leaving his B.Sc course he joined an acting school by forcing his father ---a petty official with Punjab govt –to pay rs 68000 for his acting school fees---then add to this he purchased a trendy bike and all branded clothes from best molls in chandigarh and reebok sHoes ,rayban googles and Nikon camera. GOLDY THOUGHT HE HAD ALL TRAPPINGS OF A FUTURE FILM STAR. .Landing in muMbai he kept on hopping from one studio to another—but alL talent Was in plenty in tinsel world—with his effort he could get himself in list of extras .NOW Goldy was to get beaten from leading heroEs a s henchmen of villain –he became side kick of mugambos,rakAs and big boss—his dreams were shattered .THE ICY TOUCH OF REALITY MADE HIM SEE REASON.the film world was an inscrutable wall,its ways were mysterious and to get into it was as difficult as climbing Mount Everest .Goldy learnt the truth the hard way---two years of life in bollywood city made him feel more mature and sensible.HE boArded train back to chandigah. Back home, he touched feet of his father –he requested him to allow him to join his BSC COURSE.now he began wearing simple clothes went to college on a bicycle and spent most of time in college library—he did his BSc and then M.Sc in chemistry and joined a leading forENsenic research lab in chandigarh.By dint of hard work ,he became a leading scientist.On one Sunday he went to see a movie in famous NIRMAN theatre ,name of movie was teezri manzil.HE RELISHED THE ACTING OF FAMOUS SHAMMI KAPOOR,he enjoyed the melodious songs and then smiled as he knew his teesri manzil was in academic field.THE TINSEL WORLD IS GREEN FROM A DISTANCE –THE WORLD of real hard work was that mattered.GOLDY ALSO REALISED THAT SIMPLE LIVING CAN ALSO LEAD TO GLAMOUR OF A BRILLIANT CAREER,HE WAS HAPPY TO BE A SCIENTIST AND FELT HE WAS SERVING SOCIETY WELL.MOVIE AND CINEMA WAS NOT EVERY PERSON CUP OF TEA BUT A GOOD CAREER COULD BE MILK TO ALL. **********************************************
