A SIGH OF RELIEF, A MAJOR TRAGEDY AVERTED Braking News: A powerful improvised explosive device (IED) was recovered from a bus in Guwahati. On receiving information about the IED, the police found it during checking at Jalukbari area from a bus coming from Tezpur in Sonitpur district towards Guwahati, City Senior superintendent of police AP Tiwari told PTI. The highly explosive IED weighing about one kg was wrapped with carbon paper and kept in a bag in the bus, Tiwari said. Bomb experts defused it in a nearby open field. #Rogers: Lets take a moment to appreciate our police force for averting a major tragedy. We would have blamed them if an explosion would have taken place. Now that they have prevented it, lets thank them.
