A Simple Arm Swing What works for one person, might not work for another, but every day we have the choice to try something and determine if it effective for us or not. *Remember, you do not have to be fit to move and groove. If that happens as a result, great, but that is not the goal. Today, I want you to try this simple arm swing exercise whenever something starts to upset you or stress you out. Do the exercise as if YOU ARE A CLOWN :o) Be amazed by what one simple action can do. How? -Start standing up in a neutral position. -Keep your eyes up and feet a tiny bit wider than shoulder-width apart. -Exhale, and drop your weight into the ground. -Soften your knees and relax your arms. -Let go of the fists you might be making with your hands. -Keep breathing, and begin to turn your hips. Right, left, and you will notice that if you are doing this correctly, you will feel your weight drop into the ground through your center and your legs. -As you shift, you should also notice your shoulders turn. Not as a result of you moving your shoulders but as a result of your hips turning and you letting go. -Continue to let go, relax and turn your hips. -Your arms will feel light and start to swing as a result of you breathing and your hips turning. -Please give your self room to move and for your arms to swing freely without hitting anything.
