A Squirrelly Engagement - Being 75% squirrel, Archibald Squirrelnut never thought that he would be able to find love in a world where all of the squirrel options were much too small in size and all the human options were too shallow to accept his squirrel looks. That is, until he met Esmeralda Tissue-Greenwich, a college student studying zoology, specializing in rodent sociology. She had always had a thing for squirrels, but the moment Esmeralda laid eyes on Archibald, she knew he was the one. It was true love at first sight, but it came with a cost. Many humans didn’t accept their love. Even on their first date in a coffee shop, they received skeptical looks from the general public. But that didn’t stop their pride and their persistence to fight for their right to love. Archibald proposed to Esmeralda by his favorite oak tree, with his great-grandmother’s engagement acorn. She was thrilled and they hardly wasted anytime in their engagement. There was enough time, however, for Archibald’s friend to throw him a “nutty” bachelor party complete with a squirrelly stripper. Finally the wedding day came. Their closest friends and family were in attendance. It was a truly magical event. They went to the District of Columbia, the squirrel capital of the world for their honeymoon. Esmeralda conceived shortly thereafter. The couple remains happily married in Indiana, Pennsylvania with their infant child, Claus Squirrelnut-Tissue-Greenwich.
