Inventory Controller in a firm in Lagos Full-time Industry Healthcare Specialization Administration & Office Support, Minimum Qualification Degree Required Experience 3 - 5 years Application Deadline 2013-07-17 A healthcare Company requires the services of a competent and dynamic person to fill this position Responsibilities: • Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital. • Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations. • Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks • Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete/redundant products or materials to maximize availability of working capital • Ensure that all warehouses/depots are well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production, sales and the goals of the business. • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure. • Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up production or sales for whatever reasons are chased and followed-up until received. • Provide routine management information on inventory performance • Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital. • Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions • Be responsible for managing and running planned stock takes. • Perform cyclic stock checks • Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system • Produce regular and periodic reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies are addressed and resolved. • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Qualification and Requirements: • Minimum of Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics • Minimum of 10 years experience • Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management. • Have a detailed understanding of sage line1000 as well as any other relevant software in inventory control/management systems. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to work productively efficiently and effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality. • Possess relevant IT skills in basic MS Office applications – outlook, excel and word. • Good interpersonal and communication skill • Ability to manage and mentor a team and strong personal initiative To apply, send your CV to [email protected].
