A Sunset Looking at the last of the sunlight To the crimson sky in the west, When for a moment all felt right And I knew I was truly blessed. It’s funny how sometimes I forget And I won’t notice for days on end, But just to sit and watch a sunset, Well, it’s something I’d recommend. For really how many have we left? More surely have gone than will come. While of course this we accept And a final sunset there will be one. Now with each sunset I make time And counting upon thanks I give; Another day myself to remind, How beautiful is this life we live. Dave MacLennan
