The awards keep coming! Overnight Council has won two awards for its health initiatives across waste management, social wellbeing and the environment at the 6th Global Alliance of Healthy Cities Conference. They include - The World Health Organisation ‘Health in All Policies’ category Award for the Logan: City of Choice initiative; and A rare World Health Organisation ‘Special Recognition’ Award for contributing to the advancements of Health Cities in the Western Pacific Region. This is in recognition of the breadth and quality of Logan City Council’s various environmental health, health promotion, urban planning, environmental management, economic development, social planning, solid waste and waste water management activities, plans, policies and strategies. Congratulations to everyone involved!
