News about death is not something to be joked with when it concern a person of the caliber of MOTHER SALOME OKEAKPU. It was difficult for us to believe that death has snatched our beloved mother in the Congregation of Yahweh Nigeria, headquarters at Awka, away like a thief in the noon day. As we were contemplating, is it true that our MOTHER SALOME has gone to be seen no more? It is to us as a day dreamer chasing after the rainbow. MOTHER SALOME, it is true that you have gone no more to advice our elders, the wowen, members, the young and young at heart of the congregation you loved most, with those beautiful words of yours. We will have your solace in these words of Yahweh as recorded in scriptures(Psalm 116 vs 15) Precious in the sight of Yahweh is the death of his saint . Mother Salome you are too clear to the congregation and will never be easily forgotten. Mother Salome you are not dead because the children of Yahweh never die, but sleep waiting for their father; this is true for you. MOTHER SALOME rest until the trumpet calls; when all the saint of Yahweh shall arise from their sleeping bed to meet their savior.
