A TRUE SACRIFICE Then King David said Ornan, "No, but l will surely buy it for the full price, for l will not take what is yours for the Lord, nor offer burnt offerings with that which cost me nothing." David gave Ornan six hundred shekels of gold by weight for the place. And David built there an alter to the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings and called on the Lord; and He ANSWERED Him from heaven by fire on the alter of burnt offerings. (1Chron 21:24-26) This is a reminder of the importance of sacrifice. Very often, we are tempted to only give God our rejects, surplus or tit-bits. Whatever you offer to God must cost you something. A sacrifice must take something precious from you and offer it up freely. Whether it be our lives, our seed or our decisions, when we freely offer anything to God, He in turn blesses us with His abundance. Have a blessed wonderful day.
