A Thing A Day: 141 9/11 I think that as a nation we are continuing to develop our ideas about what we want this date to mean to us. After setting aside politics, sentimentalism or the mass/collective emotionalism, and even the quest for historical accuracy and truth – what does the memory of 9/11 mean? Individually and collectively? I still hear many different voices expressing different ideas. And perhaps that’s how it will always be in this diverse world. One of the several meanings that I hold for 9/11 is to value heroic actions and all caring actions on behalf of life. Is there a meaning that you want to share? Please comment below.
