MOTOGP UPDATES: RED BULL INDY MOTOGP STARTING GRID & TOP TEN PHOTO GALLERY Marquez rides to eighth pole of 2014 at Indy as Dovizioso starts in best spot since Le Mans 2010. Ducati Team’s Andrea Dovizioso turned in his best lap around the resurfaced and reconfigured 2.6-mile Indy circuit towards the end of Q2 to get within 0.225s of Marquez for second position. Using a new engine this weekend Dovizioso managed his second front row start of the season following his third spot back in May at Le Mans. Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) was a quarter of a second off pole as he completed the front row in the third spot. Row two is lead by Aleix Espargaro on the NGM Forward Racing in fourth with Valentino Rossi”s Movistar Yamaha next to him in fifth. Aleix’s brother Pol Espargaro on the Monster Yamaha Tech3 entry was provisionally on the front row but was eventually pushed back to sixth. Andrea Iannone (Pramac Racing), Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) and Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech3) will line up on row three, provided Smith is fit to ride after a big high side at Turn 2 in the final minutes of Q2. LCR Honda’s Stefan Bradl on the redesigned Indy MotoGP track: “It’s nice and I really enjoyed riding it more than last year. The shape of the track is more flowing. Also the surface is not bad and overall they did a good job.” Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP) heads the fourth row after topping FP3 earlier in the day. Scott Redding (GO&FUN Honda Gresini) and Cal Crutchlow (Ducati Team) made it through from Q1 to qualify in the 11th and 12th spots, respectively. Leon Camier With Hayden having undergone an operation to address the ongoing issue with his right wrist, substitute rider Leon Camier did well for the Drive M7 Aspar team, qualifying 16th from Q1 in his MotoGP debut.
