A Truth to Live – God is love and loving God means loving others. Scripture – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first commandment. And second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39 Prayer – I was made to love. From the beginning of time God’s original design was for me to love others. I John 4:7 says, “Let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” This is how I can know that the power of the Gospel rules in me – if I have love for all people regardless of their race, religion, gender, or behavior. You loved me, and I am to love others. Today I commit to love you with every part of my being. I will use all my energy to grow in my relationship with you – learning and listening for your voice throughout my day. And, just as I will use my heart, soul and mind to love You, I will also use my all to love others. I will begin today looking at my family, my colleagues, my schoolmates, my neighbors, my friends and Your world through the eyes of love. Lord, I ask that you pour Your love out on me today so that I can give it freely to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
