A VERY GOOD NEWS FOR ALL BHUTANESE PEOPLE: I am very happy to share very good news with all of Bhutanese community members. Six Bhutanese teenaged boys and girls are safe after getting into a very serious car accident. On July 4th, 2013, a 16-year old Bhutanese young lady decided to go out with her Bhutanese friends for a long joy ride to celebrate her 16th birthday. The driver of the car, an 18-year old Bhutanese young man started to feel sleepy, but he decided to continue driving. He struck a vehicle at a very high rate of speed and as a result his car rolled over multiple times while multiple people trapped in the car, before finally came to a stop. Obviously, the passengers hit their heads, hands, shoulders, legs and other parts of their bodies against different parts of the car like they were riding a roller coaster. Fortunately, all of the passengers and the driver survived. They and their families and friends are thankful to God for saving their lives and all of them are still celebrating. I do not want to mention their names or their locations, for the reason of privacy; however, I appeal to all of you that, please: 1. Never allow more than four passengers and one driver in a compact sized car that has seat belts for only five occupants. 2. Never continue driving if you are feeling sleepy or tired. 3. Force a driver to stop driving if he/she is driving dangerously, or feeling sleepy or tired. 4. Do not use cellular phones or laptops or other electronic devices because the use of this kind of electronic devices can distract the driver, and could result in a serious accident.
