A WRITE RO0YAL RANT APRIL 2014 I see everyone sharing Graham Hancock’s article about the new look Stonehenge. Remember, you heard it here first, A NEW DAWN FOR STONEHENGE written for and published by The Western Daily Press by yours truly. It’s been a wet month, something we need to get used to according to a new report out on ‘climate change’ by the United Nations, just something else we have been talking about for years ‘Global Warming’. Whilst it’s good that the main stream media are having to play ‘catch up’ with our views it’s a great pity that they didn’t listen to us in the first place and take steps to avoid some of the pit-falls we have been pointing out to them. Well, I’m sixty years old at the end of the week and we’re having ‘a bit of a do’ to celebrate and hopefully raise some funds to keep this show on the road. As I have always said, we can’t all be front men or front line troops but we can support those who are, Face book and the Social networking sites seems to get more benign on a daily basis and be awash with the latest conspiracy theories whilst the mass populous all have their ‘own’ opinions on foreign policy, dependent on which TV channel they subscribe to Russia Today or the BBC, CNN or AL Jazeera, It’s good that all views are ‘out there’ for us to see, but rather naive of us to think that one source fits all. Shop around, if you wish to get a balanced view on world affairs and just because someone tells you something do not assume that you are getting the full picture because whatever the source it is invariably coloured by ‘Their’ political slant and always subject to their editorial control. With the recent ‘passing’ of Tony Benn, we have lost not just a Socialist Politician but one of the last of a breed of Statesman who were prepared to stand up for what they believed in, against their own party if necessary and at risk of arrest when required. We could do with more Tony Benn’s in each of the political Parties, rather than the plethora of ‘career politicians’ we have now, whatever the colour of their chosen party. Me, I still think they are all as bad as each other and will be voting for myself at the next General Election, standing as an Independent and believing in Free Independent politics by-for-and of the People. You can join in too, if you don’t like what’s on offer, get out there and do it yourself or support someone that does. Looking around it is easy to be dismayed by the apathy that surrounds us or inspired by the Natural world around us, but like most things it’s a matter of balance. A good idea is a good idea wherever and whoever it comes from and a bad idea is a bad idea even if it comes from those near and dear to you. We need to restore that balance in our lives and to get away from this ‘Gang mentality’ so entrenched in our Psyche, There is good and there is Bad in every Race, Creed, Colour and Gender and there is usually equal amounts in any policy or ideology and it is up to us as individuals to balance them up before making a Judgement.
