A Webster City couple were fatally injured in a two vehicle accident at mid morning Monday at the junction of Highway 30 and T Avenue east of Boone. The Iowa State Patrol identified the victims as 76 year old Marie Hooker and 80 year old Ronald Hooker. Reportedly a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Marie Hooker was stopped at a stop sign on T Avenue when she pulled in front of a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Jane Ham of Boone. Both Ronald and Marie Hooker were both pronounced dead at the accident scene. A passenger in the Hooker car, 79 year old Donna Porter of Duncombe was flown by air care to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Ham and her passenger Lyle Mattson also of Boone were transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames for treatment. The Iowa State Patrol were assisted by the Boone County Sheriffs Department at the accident scene.
