A) Whose religion? B) Who are these people that think politicians dont express their faith enough? Its nearly all they do do regularly. Of course religious groups should make their feelings and thoughts known in the political realm, as is their right. But their beliefs, even amongst different Christian denominations, are far from uniform. And, of course, theres a troublesome flip side to the whole idea: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. What if a majority of congresspeople were Muslim? Or Jewish? Or Hindu? Would there still be this call for increased religious dependence in governance?
